The Allies Advance

In our minature Minden the Allies again beat the French, although  our game was more of a slugging match with the French never recoverng from the mauling their infantry advance took on day one. Allied cavalry this time around did charge and, after the French flank caved in, swept the weakened French from the field.

A Brief Encounter

French make good use of light wood to disorientate enemy. Seven Years War wargame in 42mm.

Minden was fought usiing Tricorn, which are a good set of rules but a lttle slow for larger battles.

We tried a nodified version of Blitzkeig Commander for this smaller game, but it did not fully play to the strengths of this scale.

A quick play set is in development which captures the problems of brigade movement and allows for cumalative casualties, espcaily from artillery.
